TUNE IN LIVE ON NCWLIFE & ALSO ON LOCALTEL CH. Dignitaries from many of Northwest Festivals, as well as local and state legislators join in to enjoy the Greater Wenatchee Valley at springtime. Bands from throughout the Northwest join with the many colorful floats and proud-stepping equestrian units to make this one of Washington’s grandest parades. Leading off the parade is the traditional Apple Blossom Run. STEMILT GRAND PARADE SATURDAY 11AM PARADE ROUTE : STARTS TRIANGLE PARK, DOWN ORONDO, LEFT ON WENATCHEE AVENUE, AND ENDS SEVENTH! The cannon sounds promptly at 11am on to announce the 104th Washington State Apple Blossom Festival Stemilt Grand Parade.

If no horse droppings land in any of the designated sections, we will randomly draw a number from 1 to 5, and that number will determine the Grand Prize “eligible section”. One raffle ticket will be drawn from each losing section, and each of the four ticket holders will win $500.00. One raffle ticket will be drawn for the Grand Prize of $10,000.00 (IRS taxes will be withheld).Ī secondary drawing will take place for each of the four losing sections. The section that has the first horse droppings will be declared the Grand Prize eligible section.Įvery raffle ticket sold for the “eligible” section will be placed into a receptacle. When the “to be determined” group of horses reach the sections area they will be observed for the first horse droppings to hit the road. RULES OF THE ROAD…ĥ Sections will be marked on the Grand Parade route near Memorial Park, between the red crosswalk and Chelan Ave. We will also award four $500 prizes, one for each of the other four sections.ĭuring the parade, Rotarians that have volunteered to be the Equine Sanitation Team, will follow the horses to ensure the accuracy of the raffle and keep the parade route clean! The proceeds of the event will go to the Rotary Discover Scholars Program that supports and mentors teens that are At risk of not completing their High School education. We will then draw one winner from the “winning” section, and award that person the grand prize of $10,000. When the selected group of horses reach our designated area, the section that is hit by the first horse droppings will be deemed the winning section.

Registration forms will be accepted online or at East Wenatchee City Hall through 5:00pm on Wednesday, May 3rd. Pre-registration for participants is required, on-site registration will not be allowed. In addition to good food and great music, you won’t want to miss the Awards Ceremony at 4:00pm.

The Classy Chassis Parade has become an Apple Blossom weekend favorite, so you’ll want to claim your spot on the parade route early for this 6:00pm (May 5) Friday night event! Then sit back and enjoy the view … everything from old to new!Īfter the parade, from 8-10pm at Gateway Park, there will be Dancing in the Street with a live band at Gateway Park! The 800 block of Valley Mall Parkway will remain closed for a small Show & Shine event while the band plays.įor those desiring to get a more up close and personal view of some of the “Classy Chassis” the Classy Chassis Car Show is the place to be on Saturday, May 6! Check-in will begin at 9am with festivities in full swing by noon.
